the experience

Welcome (or welcome back!) to the Michelle Ingkavet Photography family. I’m so glad you’re here and truly honored to be photographing your loved ones. I’m looking forward to creating meaningful, beautiful portraits you’ll treasure for years to come.

Below is a brief overview of what you can expect as we move through the process together. I’ll share more details along the way, and of course, if you have any questions at any point, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

1. Design Consultation

We’ll talk through your vision, your session details, and what you’d love your images to become.

2. Portrait Session

This is where the magic happens.

3. Artistic Rendering of Final Images

During your session, I’ll capture many images, but you’ll only see the very best. Your selected photographs will be thoughtfully retouched and/or soft-proofed with care and intention.

4. Viewing & Ordering Appointment

A favorite part of the experience. You’ll see your images for the first time and choose the artwork that feels right for your home. One-of-a-kind wall art, including framed prints, wood and canvas prints, and heirloom albums to cherish for generations to come.

5. Product Pick-Up / Delivery

Your portraits are an investment and an heirloom, and they deserve time. Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for your order to be completed.

6. Enjoy Your Portraits

Display them. Share them. Love them.

Owner / Photographer

My work is about creating meaningful, lasting artwork—photographs that live on your walls, rest on your tables, fill albums, and become heirlooms your family returns to again and again. Pieces made to be held, shared, and remembered. That is always my guiding intention.

I’m a boutique family photographer offering a highly personal, elevated photographic experience, with a focus on timeless heirloom art for your home.

My photography journey began in the early 1990s while I was studying at New York University. At the same time, I was working professionally as an actor in theater, film, and television. Friends began asking me to photograph their headshots, and through those early portrait sessions, I discovered a deep love for capturing people as they truly are.

While living in Los Angeles from 1998 to 2008, my work evolved, and I found myself especially drawn to the quiet beauty and expressiveness of children—naturally expanding into family photography. After returning to New York in 2008 to start my own family, my creative world continued to grow, welcoming yoga, wellness, and community into my work. Today, I live on the Queens/Nassau County border and co-own and teach at
Here and Now Yoga, Wellness & Arts Collective in Floral Park, NY. I still accept the occasional acting role and, in 2023, earned my Master of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in Environmental Nutrition from the University of Memphis.

I serve families throughout New Hyde Park, Floral Park, Garden City, Mineola, Manhasset, Great Neck, Bayside, Little Neck, Roslyn, Jericho, and surrounding Nassau and Queens communities.

I would love to meet you and create something beautiful together—artwork you’ll cherish for years to come.
